Location: This position is based in our Campbell, California offices, on-site & full-time. Imperative Care does not provide relocation or additional housing compensation for the summer internship.

We are actively building a team who is focused on developing novel solutions for this complex disease – a disease in which one in four adults will face in their lifetime.
What You’ll Do
As an Agentic AI Intern, you will design and build intelligent AI agents and workflows that solve real-world problems across engineering, operations and clinical domains. You'll work closely with the AI Lead and cross-functional teams to prototype, evaluate and deploy AI - powered tools that drive efficiency, insight and innovation within a fast paced medical technology environment.
- Design and prototype AI agents using modern frameworks (e.g., LangChain, OpenAI APIs, orchestration tools like n8n)
- Build end-to-end agentic workflows that integrate tools, APIs, and data sources
- Experiment with prompt engineering, memory systems and evaluation techniques to improve agent performance
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to identify high-impact AI use cases and rapidly prototype solutions
- Document findings, demos, and best practices to help scale AI adoption across R&D
- Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with Python and familiarity with APIs and backend development
- Exposure to Agentic AI (agents, skills, LangChain, n8n), AI/LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude) and strong interest in building intelligent systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to quickly learn new tools and frameworks
- Curiosity, initiative, and excitement about applying AI to real-world challenges

Salary: $29hourly for 10-week internship
