Quality Engineer Intern
Location: This position is based in our Campbell, California offices, on-site & full-time. Imperative Care does not provide relocation or additional housing compensation for the summer internship.

What You’ll Do
This intern will assist quality engineers on manufacturing processes and controls to be used on the production line and help troubleshoot manufacturing issues to mitigate patient risk.
- Support Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility studies to assess measurement system variation.
- Analyze supplier data using statistical process control techniques.
- Conduct engineering build and testing to verify process outputs.
- Perform destructive tensile testing to understand and document failure modes and mechanisms.
- Support issue resolution for production and assembly including root cause investigation and corrective action tracking.
- Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design and develop processes, and procedures.
- Organize and analyze data sets that outline the systemic improvement opportunities.
- Support general documentation activities such as proof reading, formatting, and revision
What You’ll Bring
- Currently have or in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering field (e.g. Bioengineering, Material Engineering, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering)
- Strong understanding of engineering principals
- Strong analytical and statistical knowledge
- Knowledge in data querying and manipulation a plus
- Ability to work independently or in a team setting required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft office products.
- Good interpersonal skills, effective interaction with operations and other departments
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in machine shop (lathe/milling machine) is a plus.

Salary: $29/hourly for 10 week internship
